i dont hate it.. i just hate how long it takes. i started "hair day" at 2:20 this afternoon, and it's 4:53 and i'm still not done! i have to wait for my hair to flatten from the rollerset (it's wrapped) .. i do like the shampooing/conditioning part though. i dont know how you shower-washers do it.

I HATE hair day. It takes so long to wash, deep condition, rollerset. Please. I 'd rather be whipped but I have no choice if I want healthy hair. Once a week is all I can stomach. I don'e know how u folks wash every couple of days; I take my hat off to u.

I love hairday and love rotating my products that the only way I know what products really work for me.
I must admit that pre-shampoo treatment days can be hectic when I have a lot of work to do that day.

I am with you ballet. I adore washing and conditioning my hair. It is very therapeutic.

I loved hair day as a natural. I loved hair day when completely relaxed. I hate hair day texturized. It's not as in good condition as all natural hair, and it's not as easy to breeze through with straight relaxed hair. I have to be extra careful due to breakage. It's a pain.

Exactly--I couldn't have said it any better. I feel your pain...

I used to hate hair day when I relaxed - wash, condition, blow dry, curl or flat iron - took me forever and a day. Now I usually just wash, condition, put some leave-in and gel in, and I'm done. I know the jumping in and out of the shower is annoying, but I just slip my on terry robe (which doubles as my towel). It takes me a little longer than most people though because I almost always sit under the dryer with my conditioners.

Well, I survived my hair day two days ago. I washed and conditioned in the morning. Combed it out and sectioned my hair into about 15 big two strand twists. About 12 hours later, it still was not dry. But I went ahead and bit the bullet and two-strand twisted all of it.

I love the feeling of control I get over my own hair. Before I started my regimen, I had let my stylist do all the work. I'm ashamed to admit it, but I use to wash my hair only when I went for a touchup

. Since I never used (or rather never knew how to use) heat my hair was still hovering around 3 inches past my shoulders (hovering due to constant breakage with the use of my fine comb and new growth). Now I'm starting all over with 2.5 inches trimmed off, I wash/condition or deep condition every 3-4 days, and my hair's never been healthier. I love hair day!

I love hair days too. It's something about putting in some major down time with myself. It's almost therapeutic in a way

I have to change my vote. After I get started, I enjoy feeling it so thick in my hands. I love my natural hair. But it is thick and I was bemoaning this fact to my husband and he asked me if he was going to have to do my hair. I might take him up on his offer. He does know how to rollerset natural hair a whole lot better than me. Okay, I've never done it although I've tried. LOL! So, I think I'm going to love it even more when somebody else does it.

Lordy! I am sitting here under a soft bonnet dryer (ugh) just at the wrap phase (been 4 hours experience so far) so I decided to get on the net. I was so excited about doing my hair beforehand, then halfway through I think of how much of an *** (or on drugs) I was to actually WANT to do this (lol)! I am sooooo ready for it to be over!

I did:
Shampoo
Aphogee (under dryer)
Deep heat penetration w/tinting foil
Detangled in shower (took 15 mins)
rolled my hair (progressed to very large rollers today)...took a while roll becuase I am picky about parting, placement, smooth strands, and tension
THEN I COULD NOT FIT UNDER MY SALON STYLE 70+ lb hair DRYER!
SO I am under a soft bonnet dryer highly pissed (lol) wondering what on earth am I going to do now?!
STILL have to comb it down and lightly touch up my roots with the flat iron

I have just about had it today ...
