I tried using it alone as a pre-poo treatment and moisturizer when I first found the hair boards. It made my scalp itch like crazy! I have to mix it with other oils or add it to conditioner.
Thanks! I've applied it to my body as a skin moisturizer and still do. I apply it to my scalp when I'm getting the extra off of my hair. My scalp likes it but my hair does NOT. It works better for me when I when I mix it into one of my spritzes or hair butters and use it that way.
I put extra virgin olive oil (evoo) in my daughter's hair right after a shampoo when she was a baby and I still do it till this day. I also put it in my god daughter's hair when I do it.
I also use evoo in my hot oil treatments, mix it in my conditioners, use it to seal my ends and its a part of my own homemade mixture in my spray bottle.
I use it for hot oil treatments, it's one of the things I use to seal my ends after washing and I use it as a daily moisturizer. I have to mask the smell, so I add almond oil and Elasta's Mango Butter.
My mother saw this lady and her daughter with thick long hair and my mom asked how they got their hair long and thick, and the lady said that she uses olive oil everyday, it was a one time convo
Ive used it in my hair by itself and Ive also mixed it with other things, sometimes as a sealant or as a preshampoo treatment...either way it's all good
