While looking through the \"HATED IT\" thread...

...I noticed that a lot of the products that didn't work, was said to make your hair dry, hard or crunchy.

Now I was wondering if the products didn't work because of hard water? When Valleygirl posted the hard water post (Bless her heart), I went out and bought the Paragon Shower Filter and noticed that all my products are more effective now.

The Creme of Nature shampoo was ok before, now it's something I don't think my hair can thrive without. Even my conditioners seem to "soak in" better and I am always getting a good slip regardless of what conditioner I use.

Could this be why some of the products worked wonders for others, but didn't do a thing for you?

i dont know about using a shower filter since i dont have one but i do know some places have hard water. i know this where if i wash my hands with water alone when my hands dry they are bone dry and look dry and feel dry whereas in another location i do the same thing and my hands feel moist. i think if people feel like maybe some products didnt work for them and they have them stashed away in a closet maybe they should invest in a shower filter and determine whether it was the water or the products themselves. at least it will use up your stash and you may find out the product you despised before works wonders on your hair now.

God bless you all.

<font color="brown">Personally I don't think the water system had anything to do with it (in my case), especially since I travel a lot between here and my home town. The products that I listed, really sucked in comparison to the others that I presenly use, no matter where or how I used them.
