super skinny? strong? the mositure one? etc if i had to stick to one of his lines, which would it be? i'm relaxed by the way. the stick to one line challenged as motivated me to do just that. i'm not sure if i'm feeling nioxin enough to stick to it, so i want to move on to the next after all of my products are gone.

I would say either super skinny (if you'd rather wear your hair straight the majority of the time...) OR
Insant Moisture (to keep your hair moisturized)
I combine these two :)

Is Paul Mitchell the only line available where you live? If you had to "stick" to one line of products (which by the way is not necessarily a bad idea because some products are made to compliment each other) Why Paul Mitchell at all when there are so many lines that are made specifically for our hair? -All that to say IMO keracare/motions/mizani/janecarter.. I could go on and on I think the above mentioned have a better result on our hair than any pm product I've ever used. ;)

I agree I like those lines.

it's the first thing that came to mind. i'm open to any suggestions. i've tried motions products and didn't really like anything except the shampoo. what line do you suggest?

I would recommend janecarter solution www.janecartersolution.com I like the whole entire line no matter what hair type you have. If you're relaxed keracare or mizani have great shampoo/conditioner/deep cond/styling lines. They are all in the same price range as PM. HHG I haven't been in the salons in a while, but I seldom recall seeing any PM products except for styling gels and hair sprays. I paid $15 for some wax works gel and I hate the results... maybe thats why i'm so anti pm.

When I switched to salon type products I used PM but it really is not for women of color in my opinion. The SuperCharge moisturizing conditioner is good though. I would suggest Mizani Moisturefuse or Mane N' Tail product line

ANYTHING PAUL MITCHELL. I love PM! The detangler, skinny, instant moisture... are the ones i've tried so far and loved. My hair dries a lot faster when I use PM too! My boyfriend randomly PM's Tea Tree Shampoo... I never thought I'd have to "borrow" hair stuff from my boyfriend

I'd mix and match from the different PM lines to make my ultimate PM regimen...I'd wash w/Super Strong or Super Skinny, then dc w/Super-charged, use The Conditioner leave-in and the Skinny serum, spray Seal and shine, then proceed to style. PM The Conditioner also works well as a daily moisturizer.

IMO you can't go wrong w/his products -- it's like with every product line, you have to find which products resolve whatever issues you are trying to address. For example, there are plenty of threads on here that address the "which Aveda products work for our hair" issues, and I don't think that any of the salon lines are any different. Yeah these lines are for the most part marketed toward "other" hair types, but IMO hair is hair (on a basic level) and you just need to look for items with your individual needs in mind.

HTH

The Paul Mitchell products were amongst the first products I used when I was first relaxed. Most recently, I was using Super Skinny Serum. In hindsight, I don't find the Paul Mitchell products very moisturizing for my hair.

I use the PM Super Skinny serum, the Super Charged Moisturizer, The Detangler, and the Awapuhi mist. All are great but here are some other lines that are much better IMO:

Elucence Moisture Balance:grin:
Aveda Damage Remedy
Aveda Brilliant
Pantene Relaxed & Natural Breakage Defense (the mask is bangin'!!)
Design Essentials(excellent!!)

Sunsilk and Herbal Essence also have some good leave-ins and conditioners. Also Garnier Fructis. You should browse through some old threads or do some searches on different brands. Unless, of course, you are set on using Paul Mitchell. But there are a lot of better brands around. Good luck. Hope you find some stuff that you love.:yep:

My hair HATES any Walgreens, CVS or Rite Aid bought hair products! I do mean all of them. My hair only responds to professional products such as Paul Mitchell. While I do not believe PM is the ONLY quality line it really depends on multiple factors as to what will work best for you such as climate, hormones, hair health status, etc.

So do what works and if you are dealing with dry hair, possibly give PM Instant Moisture a try to help get you past that dry hair hump.
