So proms coming up and instead of doing a straight style I wanted to try out a curly weave(plus it'll be a good protective style while I transition.) Plus I plan on wearing it abit in the summer while cranking up on the dance classes, gym visits and growth aids. So I'm choosing between these two styles. Please let me know what you ladies think, I would hate to look a reck lol.
so here's a picture of me

Those are very tricky styles you've picked bc most of the women who have them, the hair looks fake. I would suggest you not do it with extensions or if you do, don't do a full head. Also, match your color right and if you do a weave, pull the curls apart or rollerset/curl them for more definition. If you don't, you'll look like a scary shirley temple.

With that said, I'd pick look number 2

Thanks so much ladies. That has helped. I do want them to look as real as possible. I wasnt going to do a full one, because I dont want all that hair lol. Thanks again

You look just like the lady in the pic at the bottom! I thought it was you!!! Anyway, I'd pick the first weave if the look you are going for is the pic on the bottom. Reason being is it can be picked and combed out to give that natural fluffy real look.
The second weave texture is pretty but it will not give you the results you're after.

Haha thank you!! I agree, I would probably have to rollerset the second one to get a more natural look.

The second one (light brown) looks better. More natural looking than the black one, the black one looks super fake

That looks like way to much hair in my opinion. if I had to chose between the two I would go with the one on the left I guess. Do you have any other options?

the first one hands down..the second one looks like a squirrel went on top of her head and started attacking her :ohwell:

i think the first one will give you sort of the look you're wanting to achieve but you may want to look for some more pieces that are more natural like 4a 4b instead of just curly

hope u have fun at prom!!

If you're going to the gym and taking dance classes, I would suggest the 2nd style because it's easier to maintain the style with frequent washing.

You should pm Brockstar - she has a FABULOUS weave that looks super, super, super real - and almost JUST like Bre's hair, too....I can't remember what it's called, but a lot of people have raved over that particular brand/style of hair as looking very real.

Thanks I did. I went to her fotki and she said she used a jerry curl style with spirals so now that's what I'm looking for. My mom even thought it was her hair.

A really good friend of mine had an amazing weave that was just like Bre's hair and she is a relaxed 4a I believe. She had a full weave with the front and sides left out. For the hair she left out she just sets them on flexirods or she will do braidouts to blend with the wefted hair. You literally couldn't tell.

The key with curly hair is to buy QUALITY curly hair. You will have a lot better luck buying the hair online than in a store because a lot of time the store brand hair isn't of the best quality and ends up looking fake. I think my friend orders her hair from Nature Girl (www.naturegirl.net) in 3C Kinky.

Here's a link to their curly hair section:

I warn you it is NOT cheap, it's an investment to have that hair but the good thing is that if you properly care for it you can have it for several installations. There's also Wagman's hair - http://www.wagmanhair.com/hair_extensions.asp. I love Wagman Primus and use it all the time when I get weaves - which I haven't done in a while actually. But I can attest that their brand is of amazing quality.

His and Hers Hair also has great hair at reasonable prices (for the quality you get): http://www.hisandher.com/

Thanks so much for the sites foxie, unfortunately I don't have the money for their kinky curly hair, although that's exactly what I'm looking for. I've never had a sew in before, so I would hate to spend that much money for it and hate it. I dont think I'll hate it, but ya get me? If I plan on wearing more, I'll definitely save to get that, I believe it'll be well worth it.

Here's the problem so far. I want it to be soft and realistic. I don't want an over shine or stringy strands anywhere. I'm willing to wear it for awhile. Never thought finding kinky curly weaves would be so hard.
