I plan on rollersetting my hair thursday and so far the most common products are the "Magnetic Rollers", "Neutrogena Silk Therapy Serum", and "Coconut Oil" but I ran across different kinds I don't know which one to get. I stumbled across Pro-Line Coconut Oil but I need yall recom. 1st.

I use Dabur Vatika Oil, which is a coconut oil that can be found at any Indian grocery store. It has a really nice smell too!

I always had the NOW brand of virgin, cold-pressed coconut oil, sometimes appearing in ads at the top of this forum. It smells and tastes wonderful.

I use Blue Magic Coconut Oil from the BSS ($2.96, nice price!). My mom switched between that and the Pro-Line when I was little. Those two have other ingredients besides coconut oil, but my hair loves Blue Magic best.

I'm going to use up the rest of the Blue Magic and give Vatika oil a try.

Ditto... There's been several threads on Vatika Oil as well. It also has Rosemary Oil as one of it's ingredients. It can also be ordered online.

LAXMI brand {grainy but melts-costs less} or PARACHUTE brand {smells great, costs more-safer plastic bottle-more liquid when warm}. Both from Indian grocery.

I use Dabur Vatika Oil as well. It's base is coconut with a lot of goodies added like Neem, lemon oil, rosemary, amla, brahmi, and henna which aids in hair growth.

Pro-line is great. I use that sometimes to seal my ends after washing. For pure coconut oil, I currently use Spectrum the Organic formula, it's got a nice creamy texture.

Oh Wow....thanks everyone its so much to choose from. I guess I get all 3 which would then make me pj again and lord knows i'm broke, seriously.... um, I like the vatika one but if I can't get it, i'll try the organic one cause i'm a organic girl.

I use this one as well, I love it Plus it smells great.

I have used NOW brand. I consider coconut oil to be coconut oil... not Petroleum or mineral, safflower to be the first ingredient. I'll even try the refined LouAna over the other stuff on the market.

Um... it's also very good for stir frying too :lick:

I use this as well!

My two favs are:

Virgin Coconut Creme (From Nature With Love)

and

Spectrum's Organic Coconut Oil (sold at most grocery/health food stores)

IMO, coconut oil gives the best shine, but be careful it can sometimes cause breakouts, so use sparingly. :)

I use Spectrum organic unrefined coconut oil. As a matter of fact I picked up another container today! My local health food store sells it.

I buy the big tub form Walmart in the section with the other cooking oils. I am just now running out of it and I have had mine over 2 years. I think it's about 3 bucks...can't beat the price!!

okay.....now do I apply the coconut oil on my ends or my entire hair when rollersetting????????
