Jojoba or Jamaican Black Castor Oil??

I've never used neither so I'm trying to decide which one to use!!! Do both do the same thing?

Thanks ladies!

I've never used JBCO, but castor oil is my love! I much prefer it to jojoba. My hair is coarse and thick, so I prefer the thickness of castor oil.

side note: I didn't vote, because I've never used jbco.

I've never used Jamaican black castor oil but I've used regular castor oil and jojoba oil. I prefer jojoba oil because it's light and left my hair nice and soft. My hair HATED castor oil. Castor oil was too thick and sticky for my hair.

I like JBCO for my scalp I believe some ladies seal with it....I do have Jojoba in my stash but I haven't given it a fair shot

I've never used JBCO but I love regular castor oil. It works much better than jojoba oil in my opinion.

Its kinda like comparing apples to oranges. JBCO is thick, sticky, and smelly. Its used for thickening hair. Lots of people use it to fill in their edges and to increase the thickness of individual strands.
Jojoba oil is less viscous and is well liked because its the closest in chemical composition to the natural oil produced by your skin. You would use it (perhaps) if you had dry skin/scalp and you needed a good oil to help you retain moisture. I use them both. Jojoba as a good basic sealer and JBCO to thicken my edges.

I voted for JBCO.

I love the Thickness of it and it's abilities including Anti-Fungal properties.:yep: It works wonders in the Winter. A real Life-Saver.

I have had Jojoba too. Different product all together. A much 'lighter' oil and very different from JBCO.

If I was going to pick something in the 'lines' of a Jojoba, I'd prolly go with Avacado Oil, because of it's ability to Penetrate the Cortex.:yep:

I used Jojoba for HOTS and other things.

It wouldn't hurt to have them both. But...that's just prolly the PJ in me talkin'.

I didn't vote because I like both
jojoba oil is a lot lighter and good for a scalp that doesn't like heavy oiils
jbco is thick VERY thick... I use it to seal my ends or when my scalp is extremely dry
I'd advise (if u don't like thick oils) to mix some of the jbco in jojoba oil
both are good for growth
