I'm thinking of colouring my hair with Mild henna cream, suitable for permed hair. What conditioner would you recommended after colouring? thanks

Hi DEn1,
Which brand of henna cream is it Aubrey's? or Hask Placenta/henna one from Sally's? I've used the Sally's one and it does help some, but after coloring besides the little bit they give you in the box I would use something heavier like a thick conditioner and do a treament.

Product information

Henna colouring cream enhances and highlights the natural colour of your hair whilst softening and giving extra volume and shine.

Suitable for permed and coloured hair,it also blends away initial greying. It will not lighten or permanently change your natural shade. Made from plant extract and perfumed with lavender essence,Henna Colour respects the natural structure of your hair.

It will shampoo out after 4 or 5 washes.Henna Colour comes in a ready to use bottle with applicator top.

which thick conditioner would you suggest?

My favorite,
Brentwood cholesterol from Sally's, that's what I always deep condition under heat cap with. Where did you find that henna brand?
thanks

I used natural henna on my hair twice this month...once earlier (the 10th)...and once again 2 days ago (trying to get a deeper color). The first time I used Suave Tropical Coconut Conditioner...and my hair wasn't that moisturized afterwards. The second time I conditioned with Aubrey Organics Jojoba and Aloe Conditioner afterwards...and I LOVED the results. If you don't try the Brentwood cholesterol...try one of the AO moisturizing conditioners. /images/graemlins/up.gif

Please let us know how this henna turns out, I might like to try some, but my hair is fully relaxed so I don't know how it will take it.

Yep, i'll certainly keep you informed. This brand is epecially for relaxed hair without the extra chemicals, so it should be fine. They also have a range of other colours...i really want to try the Auburn next time. wish me luck!!!
