Where's November?

Where\'s November?

Early November is the date I set for the next time I'll go to the salon to have my hair trimmed. I hope to get rid of as many relaxed ends as I can. I want to tell her to give me long layers with the front tapered to the back...keeping my current "length."

But WHY OH WHY is November so far away? I know my reasons for wanting to wait till November. 1. It will be cooler and at least all the trouble of getting my hair blowdried and flatironed will last. 2. My hair will have grown almost 2 inches by then so the relaxed hair that I have cut won't hurt too much.

So my question is this...

How do I get through the next few months? I guess I am just looking for some words of inspiration. Thinking that if by some miracle I get a date by the end of the year, how will I wear my hair when I have these stupid relaxed ends that screw up basically every hairstyle. And who wants to wear a bun on a date?

I so often just want to take out my scissors and cut my own hair down to the natural hair but I know I'll regret it b/c I like professional cuts.

I guess I will just have to take this day by day to get to November.

If anyone ever said transitioning is easy, they LIED. It is SO hard!!!

Yes, I think so.

Be patient. November will be here soon enough.

BTW, I think your hair looks awesome in that ponytail that is posted in your latest album.

Re: Where\'s November?

Your hair looks great Hairlove and November will be here very soon. You gave yourself probably the best advice, which is to take it day by day. Try rollersets like blueflower suggested, or some braidouts/twistouts and curly updo's.

I feel you. My hair cannot grow fast enough. I have in mind things I will do to my hair when it is longer, but that is not helping me now. Patience is so difficult.
