Re: where\'s my thread?

So Opinions like this is banned? They're Hitler type here. Here's my opinion I posted.

I read posts in this forum before I judge any of you. Well, I read many posts and I was sadden by many of them. I think it's sad how some of you hate your natural hair state to the point where you come on here looking for way to change your hair texture. Some of you need to accept the fact that you'll never have "silky" hair ala Ananda Lewis and Maia Campbell. It's sad to see black women with self hate. I hope the children aren't being raised to hate their coarse hair and who they are.

Re: where\'s my thread?

Name your thread on a blank search. If you find it, press the favorite thread at the left bottom or press the "forget-me-not" finger on your note.

Re: where\'s my thread?

Yeah, Bluez, they would have deleted it because this board is not about Self Hate. It's about achieving healthy hair. A lot of women find their natural state of hair hard to manage (my natural hair is wavy and very thick) and find relaxing it makes my hair easier to manage. This does not mean that I hate my natural hair state. What about this offends you so? And some of the women on this board actually have beautiful natural hair and do not mind sharing their hair regimen and I myself, see nothing wrong with it.
When you post on this board, you must realize that anything "attacking" the other members here will definately be deleted so maybe you should take a second and review your post as so it does not have a malicious tone. Just my 2 cents...

Re: where\'s my thread?

O.k, at the risk of upsetting you, I'm going to give a straight answer to your question.

You are not the first to pose this question on the forum. Feel free to do a search. You'll find a number of threads about this subject. It's been asked different times in different forms and the result is always the same. An argument ensues, and nothing positive comes from it at all. This forum is for women with many different likes and preferences. Not everyone will agree, and that's ok. We don't think it's fair that anyone should have to continually defend their reasons for liking or not liking to wear their hair in a certain way.

For the sake of peace and harmony, when we see threads like these, we remove them because historically, these threads are never successfully discussed without starting arguments between members.

I do hope you understand. Peace.
