I know it may be a dumb Q, but I don't see it in any stores. Been to grocery, drug store, homeopathic, vitamin shoppe, beauty supply...?

Do you mean Black Castor Oil? If so, I live in Brooklyn and I have a couple of places to get it: At a mom 'n pop bss called (Hair Paradise) and I also get it from a Haitian Botanical store on Flatbush (Jackie's). You can order it on line too...the ladies will chime in with some websites.

You can find regular castor oil at a pharmacy, supermarket, walgreen, etc

The Vitamin Shoppe has cold-pressed castor oil.

Dude, I was just there and the guy looked at me like I had a second head and said "no." I didn't think it should be so hard to find, but it is. What section would it be in, in either the grocery store or drug store? :wallbash:

Castor oil is usually with the laxatives. I don't know why that guy said no, but vitamin shoppe usually has it. I get mine from Whole Foods, it's usually with the other oils.

I get it at Whole Foods, but I've seen it at walgreens & vitamin shoppe.

You can get it most stores. If you go to a "commercial" store like Walmart, Walgreens or a reg supermarket it will be with the laxatives. If you go to a health food store like Whole Foods, Sprouts or Sunflower it will be in the "homeopathic" section with the essential oils, Aloe Vera Juice, and natural/organic shampoos, cons, and cosmetics.

I am Really "Digging" the Jamacian Black Castor Oil right now. I get mine from
Sams 24 7.com.

The Other Castor Oil (Cold Pressed) I have, I got it at the Health Food Store in the "Beauty Section" (where the Glycerin & Stuff is).

I was told, by a friend, that the Laxative Castor Oil, is "Not" the "Castor Oil" you should use for your Hair. It should be the Cold Pressed if not the JBCO.

Not the Laxative.:nono:

oooh! Thanks for the head's up! I looked in the laxative section but (luckily) it wasn't there! LOL Otherwise I probably would have picked it up! I have to go back to the Vitamin Shoppe, the guy didn't even look or try to help me find it--didn't even direct me to the products section.

It will 100% be in the natural section with other oils, conditioners, shampoo, creme, etc...

What's the difference? I've actually used both. :look:
