I love the CHI Ceramic Iron. It's expensive, but believe it or not, there is minimal damage to the hair, if any at all.

I just bought a Ceramic Tools flat iron, and I really like it. I got it because I had used my friend's Ceramic Tools iron, and the results were good. It has 25 heat settings, and it straightens my hair very nicely with the setting as low as the 10 to 15 range. It was $35.

I purchased a ceramic flat iron from Wal-Mart today for 14.95 by Conair. Mine is very small - about 3/4. I could not believe how nicely it straightened my hair on such a low setting. Thanks to this wonderful forum.
