Ladies, I am really interested in trying a lye relaxer at home, I've read some of your reviews and suggestions. Where can I find it? Everything I see in the stores are all No-Lye - is it really better? Can you recommend a good one, even if it has to be ordered? I have not done a relaxer at home for quite some time and I would like to give it a shot again. I am tired of shelling out $65 bucks to perm my hair. I need your help ladies.

Try the BSS's. Most box kits are no-lye. You might need to get the stand-alone jar and neutralizer. This is what I do. I use Bantu.

Payne's beauty supply has at least Mizani online. I'm not sure what other relaxers though...

I use silk elements no-lye and I get it from Sally's. I think it's about 4.00 a jar.

you will only find it a beauty supply stores. I get mine at Sally's. Walmart, Target and other "supercenters" don't have them.

P.s. I always get Silk elements mild.
