Okay ladies, can you say BORED??!!!! We are here in Louisiana, just waiting on this thing to destroy our town after New Orleans. The next 24 hours at least is filled with rain and wind in the forecast. We have lost power and so we're generator chillin :lachen:! Power comes on and goes off on Isaac's clock. I have prepooed for two days and today shampooed, deep conditioned and rollerset me and baby girl's hair and we're sitting ducks for now. What are you doing with your hurricane time? Maybe you dont have power or Internet, but if have your phones, talk to me! :lachen:

I am glad I was able to really show my hair some love!

Checking in from south central Louisiana. We are experiencing on/off rain and occasionally gusty winds. It is supposed to get rougher later tonight and tomorrow when it edges further north. As for my hair, I will give it a trim this evening.

Florida checking in......We dodged a bullet.

From Appalachicola to Pensacola was in the forecasts to be hit. I'm in Panama City. We at work started preparing for storm-duty last Friday. All vacations, meetings and such were canceled. Then as the forecasts were updated, we were told to prepare to go out of town and to pack for 3-days. We came to work yesterday with our suitcases packed. Glad it was a fizzle for us. We had no rain and no power outages.

Woke up to an email from my supervisor this morning naming the people he had sent west of us (Pensacola) where they helped the power company crews with restorations.

Some are on their way back home now and others are headed to Mississippi (for 2 wks if need be) to help our sister-company Mississippi Power. I'm at work holding down the fort by covering everyone's field areas.

And, yeah, I was worried 'bout my hair. I had prepared to wear it in 4 cornrows for the duration of the out-of-town trip. It's easy to wear that way when I have to wear a hard-hat. But, thank goodness, I didn't have to go.

FLA all day! We got the heaviest rain on....i think it was Monday. But its been raining almost everyday here in Orlando.

Sent from my N860 using LHCF

:bighug:In martinique, we met Mr Isaac last week end, lot of rain and a bit fo wind, but luckily no harm, no death...
Hope it will be the same for you. Take care !

S. Fla here I was off for the two days when the rain was the strongest I used that for hair time since I've been under wigs I did a garlic treatment in my braids then washed and dc for about 5 hours since I wasn't going anywhere lol

Heeeeyyyyy ladies!!! Had to save some gas on the generator, but I'm back for right now. One of my girlfriends just had a tree fall through her house and she and her husband are in Texas. Smart move to be in Texas but I know they dread coming home now. This wind is a FOOL!! I took a nice little nap, but I'm up trying to grub and see what I'm missing on here and Youtube lol!! Florida is well represented here!! I'm glad you guys faired well, but I had a feeling LA was next, its been 4 yrs since we had Gustav come through. We were due, lol!

Thinking I may go ahead and get me a sulphur massage in and order me a cute wig for the last quarter of growth this hair season.

Checking in from New Orleans........waiting for Issac to leave..luckily we still have electricity in new Orleans east

Be careful hunny!! We saw the French Quarter on the news and heard that the storm was moving so slow you all were really catching it with the water. :bighug:

In Atl. . . bored outta my mind. Its been raining for a week. No crazy storms yet. . . we normally have a few tornadoes that stem from the hurricanes. Praying for my ladies!
