When you use pressing cream to flat iron....

....do you use a silicone based serum too? And if so, when do you put each on and how do you layer them? (ie serum first then cream, etc)

I recently bought pressing oil to see if it was better with reversion and I only used the oil. If I use a serum, then it's just serum.
