tiffers

Whisper "bleep boop" to yourself when you're sad.
What do you do? I'm talkin dry, tangley and just a messIf I feel like it, I'll rinse the crap out and do a quick co wash with a staple afterwards. Sometimes I just ignore it and slap on lots of leave-in and serum and go on about my business :look:

Ew! That's never happened, but if it did, I would rinse it out, and DC with a tried and true. :yep:

This only happens to me if I use conditioners with silicones in them, and I just realized this recently. Since I've left the silicones alone in my hair products, my hair has been soft, even while conditioning.

This used to happen to me all the time before I found my staple ORS mixed with Porosity control. :spinning: But before then, I'd either just ignore it and go on with my routine or just put another conditioner on it for a few minutes. If it was still hard and dry then oh well.:wallbash:

I noticed this used to happen alot more when I had a alot of new growth. For some reason my old conditioners didnt take when i was waaayyyy post.:ohwell: Doesnt happen anymore so.....

Tiffers!!!!

But um, I'll probably cowash and bun that day. If I HAVE to style .. then I'll DC again with a style.

I usually follow up with one of my dominican rinses or a good moisturising conditioner like Elucence.

I'd co wash, then deep condition with my favorite DC (10 en 1 or AO Honeysuckle rose).

What left your hair like that so I can watch out for it?

For me it depends on how bad it is. Hopefully a co-wash with a tried and true conditioner will be all that I need, but sometimes I need more.

If I used a conditioner that made my hair hard and dry AND left myhair feeling coated with something, I will shampoo it out.

If I feel that it is really bad and a co-wash won't do, I will deep condition with a tried and true conditioner, but for only a shorter time. This method is rare.

Normally it goes between the first two, and all too often some conditioner will make myhair feel coated and needs to be shampooed out.

Yikes, this has happened to me too. I usually will wash out the conditioner, maybe with a tiny bit of shampoo and then deep condition with my tried and true Lush Retread. It always whips my hair back into shape.

Ladies have you ever tried the Matrix Sleek.look Conditioner.....My white roommate put me on to this.....No conditioner that I have ever tried makes my hair feel silkier and softer than this.....I strongly urge you ladies to try this....Soon as you put it on your hair you realize how much slip it gives you......

this happened to me when i used kenra mc. i just re condition with fekkai shea butter conditioner or honeysuckle rose. these are the only two quickie conditioners that work after only leaving it on for less than a minute. than i use a really good leave in and moisturizer and im fine until my next wash. when i was co washing it wasnt a problem cause i was doing so every day and deep conditioning every 3 days.

I didn't even read the poll I just wanted to say HEY to my girl!! I missed u long time!

Oh yea to answer the question, I rinse whatever bullish out and use a tried and true. I don't give a yucky product the privilege of hanging out in my hair!

ETA: Ok, I went back and actually read the OP (reading, go figure!) and selected IDK, depends on the day because how much time I have will determine whether it's a quick rinse and CW w/another product or a rinse and DC type situation. Either way, that other crap has go to go, but what my schedule looks like determines which method I use to restore order where there was once chaos.

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I used the Redken real control condish and leave-in, thinking it would be similiar to my Redken Smooth Down product, but it wasn't:nono:, my hair was very dry and unhappy. I was too lazy to rewash, I added lots of s-curl, redken butter treat and oil, twisted it up and wore a ponytail.

I jump back in the shower, re-shampoo with something like cream of nature, and condition with something quick and easy like vo5 or giovanni smooth as silk, paul mitchell supercharged etc....use a little leave it and leave it alone.

I've been having this problem lately. VO5 is making my hair feel hard and crunchy. It doesn't feel silky like Humecto does for me. I usuallu just rinse it out and deep condition with umecto. Humecto always detangles my hair when something's just not right haha.

I have been having this problem also. I tried to rinse put another dc on...didnt like it so i eventually shampooed the dc out and dc with another true one!

I rinse then dc with a moisturing conditioner like Elucence MB. I used to have this problem when used a conditioner that contained a lot of protein. Protein was not my friend while transitioning.

I'll just do a quick co wash with a conditioner that I know works for my hair. I won't DC again or anything because that would take too much time. And i up my moisturizing afterwards also.

Whenever that happened I would follow up with Humecto which makes my hair very easy to detangle; It's the only thing that would undo the damage from a bad conditioner for me.

Umm this just happened to me back in June this year, with the Aussie Moist! So, winded up having to rinse it out and do a quick co-wash to return my hair back to normal. I couldn't even get my detangling comb nor my denman through my hair. I've tried to use this approx 2-3 times and same results each time. But surprisingly it works well for my oldest daughter's hair! Go figure!

Yeah, the same thing happened to me three weeks ago. I ended up co-washing with my suave coconut conditioner and then I just slicked it back in a bun.

This happened to me with Ion's moisturizing conditioner. I rinsed as well as I could without manipulating my hair too much and then DC'd with one of my regular conditioners.

I tried the Ion again and it did the same thing. I love their reconstructor, but I cannot use the moisturizing con. I was able to use it up by mixing it with coconut milk, honey, and olive oil and using the mixture for my prepoo.

I throw some tresemme moisture rich on, its my go to moisturizing condish, but if i dont have that its any moisturizing condish i have on hand usually my hair loosens right up
