Hey all! I'm sorta new (well new subscription wise /images/graemlins/clap.gif )

If I see a few split hairs or little individual knots, should I go ahead and cut it myself? I got a trim recently but I still see some and it's driving me nuts--should I just snip it myself before it makes things worst?

I do the same. IF I leave it alone it will become a split hair all the way up the hair shaft. I clip and have a shorter hair as opposed to a missing hair allthogher.

yes. please believe i am not afraid to whip the shears out of my cosmetology kit and snip it off if need be.

I cut them and them alone. Sometimes I leave the little knots if they are further up the shaft than I am prepared to snip. But please make sure you use shears.

I agree with everyone. I just wanted to add to make sure that you use a decent pair of hair scissors. Anything other than hair scissors will be too dull, which will eventually lead to more breakage. You can get a decent pair from any BBS for about $9.
