I try to do aphogee halfway thru a relaxer cycle. If I go 12 weeks, I do one at 6 weeks. I like to do emergencee at 2-4 weeks, and lighter proteins before and after, maybe 2x a month.

Try one week after your touch-up. That's what I have read and it worked for me.

yep! that's how i used to do it. my hair no longer requires this hard of a protein treat now, so i went down to nexxus emergencee one week after.

Ok, thanks ladies! When you did the treatment after your touch up did the aphogee change the texture of your hair (i.e. harder, rougher, ect..) or did it pretty remain unchanged?

it will be harder/rougher after the treatment, but YOU MUST follow with a moisturizing deep conditioner afterwards to balance it out. The purpose of the Aphogee is to restore strength to weakend strands and prevent/stop breakage. Nothing more, nothing less.

I am a SELF-RELAXER my last APHOGEE TREATMENT was DEC 1,2006,and my retouch DEC 23,2006 its came out perfect bone strait. My next APHOGEE TREATMENT will be 3 weeks after my retouch.

I did it a week after my touchup and the texture did not change. My hair is still just as straight but stronger

I saw before and after (though I voted before). Relaxers break down your strands so I use my ApHogee the wash before the relaxer and the wash after...directly after the relaxer my stylist uses Niarobi protien and I like the results so I never asked him to change.

My stylist uses Aphogee periodically right after my relaxer/shampoo. She has been doing this for years and I have never seen negative results. My hair always turns out nice and strong afterwards.

I know before/after remarks were asked for, but I just thought I'd add my 2 cents.

I do one 2-3 weeks before and 1-2 weeks after. The one before the relaxer is to help me stretch w/o breakage, and the one after is to repair the hair after the chemical treatment.

I do before and after. I usually do aphogee the week before my relaxer. I also clarify at this time. I do another 2 wks after my relaxer. My concept is that I'm preparing/strengthening for the chemical service and the after treatment strengthens/repairs the damage done from the chemical.

I try to do it one week after my touch-up as well.... give my hair back some of that strength and protein! :)

What kind of conditioner do you use after a aphogee treatment?

Excellent question, I've been wondering the same. My hair is always hard, rough, difficult to move even after much moister w/ plastic cap under the dryer for an hour ...:perplexed
