When is the best time to detangle?

Are you relaxed or natural? I think the answer will be different depending on how much your wet hair tangles.

I'm a relaxed head and for me...I detangle when I rinse out the conditioner in my hair. That is the only safe way for me to do it.

I'm relaxed and it's much easier for me to detangle dry hair. I finger detangle, then comb. If necessary, I'll do one last one through in the shower under the water with conditioner but I'd rather not.

I'm transitioning and it depends on how tangled my hair is. When I have a sew-in, I take down my braids and use Amla oil, leave it in overnight and then detangle in the morning with my conditioner in my hair; then I spray with my moisturizing mix and detangle with my aveda detangling brush.

I'm natural and I only detangle when my hair is sopping wet with conditioner...using a wide-tooth comb, of course.
