Ok so i'm 19 weeks post today and i would love to relax on saturday, my problem is i cowash/cleansed my hair and scalp with conditioner last saturday and my scalp is really clean. I have a lot of NG and i afraid that if i don't use any products on my hair/scalp the relaxer will take very fast because my hair is fine and processes easily.
I don't wanna use too much product and cause a build up so the relaxer won't take either i'm a little confused about what to do i think i can wait it out 1 more week, but what do i use on my hair during that time.

Also i prepooed with Aphogee 2min recon for 5days last week on dry hair before washing on saturday, i think my scalp is sensitive and i don't wanna have scabs or over/under process or have a major setback like i had in July last.

Your help please ladies!! TIA

Hey Sunshine. When I used to perm, I always had that issue. You know like washing when I was going to get a perm the following week.

You should wait one more week and in this time frame, you should moisturize your scalp daily. You can also do cute protective styles to not cause any stress to your hair before your perm. My protective styles are buns or I would just pin my hair in a updo. Hope this helped.

I would say just base your scalp really well and add a spoonful of oil to your relaxer if you want to do it this week. The combination of the base on your scalp and the oil, will keep you from burning/overprocessing. It's not like you shampooed yesterday...
