Coconut oil is often touted as being a wonderful oil with tons of skin/ hair nourishing properties.
However, when I looked up coconut oil on NutritionData, I found that it barely has any vitamins, omega 3 fatty acids or minerals. It does, however, have a lot of phytosterols. (Please see the link below)
Hence, I wonder what is in coconut oil that would make it so special, and how would it be able to nourish the skin/hair as many claim that it does? There are some who consider it to be some sort of miracle oil.
