What's so great about Suave Humectant?

I use it for moisture balance by alternating with mane n tail which i absolutely love! i just use it cuz it's so cheap otherwise it wasn't that amazing to me... but sum people really love it tho

i honestly don't think suave humectant its THAT great. I've used it for a cowash b4 and it left my hair slightly dangled with no good slip. I only use it for prepoo mixtures but other than that i don't really use it alone.

It wasnt anything worth writing home about for MY hair. Some ppl compare it to nexxus humectress so I guess it gives them similar results...but it just sits on my hair. I will use it up for cowashes and worse case scenerio shaving my legs. The only conditioner I was even less impressed with was tressemme remoisturize. At least the suave is better than that lol.

Ditto. Exactly my same results. I tried this prodcut one time to many.

I haven't gotten a favorable opinion yet, so I guess this helps me make up my mind. I saw it in the store for a $1 and some change, and was about to get it, but I said I would check here first and see what kind of reviews I could get. I am going to try that TC for a co-wash though. Thanks for the responses!!

I alternate between Suave Humectant and Aussie Moist as my regular conditioners and they both work extremely well. They leave my hair soft and I can easily detangle. I can't compare it to the more expensive products because they are a little to expensive for my budget at the moment. I'm Natural 4b with medium strands.

My hair hates Suave and V05. The funny thing is, before I was on the hair boards, that was all that I used. The products smelled yummy, but moisture was a serious issue.

i used to love suave humectant, until i discovered the real nexxus humectress. suave is really good for cowashes, and rinsing out henna, but it really doesn't moisturize your hair like nexxus. so i'll prepoo with humectress, and co-wash after shampooing with humectant.

Nexxus Humectress did nothing for me and neither did Suave Humectant. Both left my hair hard, dry, dull and tangled

So if anything, it looks like it's good for co-washing. I think I'll try it out someday:yep: I did buy the Suave TC for co-washing, I'll be trying it out tomorrow. It smells really good. I just hope it does really good as a co-washer:ohwell:

It dont have nothin on white rain tropical coconut for cowashing....

I love Suave Humectant, and have used it the last two summers. I find it to be very moisturising, and it leaves my hair very supple and soft. I don't use it during the winter because it works better during the warm summer months.

I tried using Nexxus Humectress, and this did not deliver the same results. As long as Suave doesn't change the formula, I will keep using it.

My hair loves this. I use it for my weekly CWs and my hair feels great afterwards. I also mix it with my suave coconut (for scent).

I don't think it's all that great but i love the scent:) It doesn't provide slip. Nexxus Humectress(Generic) wasn't all that great either.

I discovered this product 3 months ago and i love it! it smells like coconut to me which i love and it leaves my hair very moisturized. I bought it cause it's cheap but it works great!

years ago...For me, it was a very effective conditioner for co-washing. In addition, I used to use it as a detangler on wet or dry hair.

Anky:
What are you using now for co-washes and detangling?

To say somthing ON topic, I've just started using this and I have no complaint's so far...

I finally broke down and decided to try it. I tried to play it off by having my friend buy me some so that I wouldn't have to buy it and I felt like I had a reason to justify trying it out:grin: So when I do my next co-wash, I'll be trying this stuff out

I just bought 5 bottles online for my co-washes, one because of the great reviews I've been hearing about it and two, because it was so cheap. I bought it online because I haven't seen it here yet in the Bahamas where I live. I can't wait to use it. I would most likely be adding EVOO or safflower oil to it when I want to use it as a conditioner after shampoo.

I believe it will also make a great pre-poo treatment mixed with my molasses for any sign of hair breakage. I have plans for this suave humectant. If it doesn't work, by golly I will make it work!!!
