What's my recourse???

Preface: I was underprocessed from my attempt at self-relaxing. Plus the stylist that relaxed my hair before my one attempt. Then I was 4 months post.

My plan was to go to balisi for a corrective and relaxer, but I needed a quick pick-me-up so I just went to the dominicans my friend referred. She had a similar issue (same amount of underprocessed hair, plus new growth), and they seemed to fix it.

Problem: There's still a section of my hair thats underprocessed. In that section, the first inch off my roots is straight, then it looks a little texlaxed for about 2-3 inches, then it's straight again. From my observations, it's only one section (right above the left ear).

What is my recourse? Do I go to Balisi like I shoulda did in the first place? :wallbash: (Lesson: cost cuts do not work. I shoulda just wore my falls until I could afford it). Do I just leave it? If I leave it, will it be damaging to my hair in the long run?

If it's just one section, i vote for leaving it. Relaxers are very harsh and it will be near impossible to keep it off the already straight sections.

As long as you have a regimen that works and you keep thine hair moisturized, you should be good to go :bud: :)

Thanks :)

And then ... :bump:

I'm sorry I don't really have any advice. I do know you won't regret going to Balisi though. Good luck.

Yes, I've been to her before, and I know she's the *only* person I can *trust* with my hair.

Thank you very much hopeful for answering. :)

Ladies I will bumpity bump :bump: this thread until I get more answers. All I need is :feedback:. There are too many of us here, that no one has encountered this problem or would not have any insight on what to do otherwise.

When you had your corrective at the DS what kind of relaxer did they use? Was it lye on non lye? If it was non lye, your hair will be locked in that texture according to Shamboosie. Besides that you had 1 corrective, you might end up with damage if you correct again.

Has anyone else been successful in doing more than 1 corrective w/o damage.

Since it's only 1 section- maybe just leave it alone.

Im so not the authority on this but I would just leave it alone and take very good care of it so it wont break off, etc. Then maybe when its time for your next touchup you can analyze what you want to do regarding that small section. HTH :), sorry I dont have more insight...
