I'm almost out of my CON poo in the green bottle and being in the USE IT UP Challenge I can repurchase it or replace it with something else. I'm considering replacing it but I want to go in the right direction - something better vs. something not so great. I know CON is suppose to be good for the hair because it has no SLS and ALS and all and it does well with my hair. But of course, I'm curious!

So to all who have tried the CON poo, loved it, but found something better, please, pretty please, share! Even if you tried CON and went to something else and returned, let us know that and why too. TIA! :D

Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo is good, too.:)

Honeydew, girl I tried to find that Breakthru Shampoo here and couldnt find it anywhere.:ohwell: Not even at the Dollar Tree.

Girl, everyone wiped out the Dollar Stores. I went back the day after I tried the shampoo and the shelves were BARE. I do see it at BSS sometimes. I wonder is the line is bing dicontinued or something.

At a similiar price point Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo. Higher priced shampoos are Design Essentials Moisturizing Shampoo and Phyto Nectar shampoo.

Keracare Hydrating Detangling Shampoo is just as good as CON, if not better IMO. But it does have ALS in it.

I agree. I love this shampoo. Nelli, I use this shampoo exclusively, so I wanted to ask you this--if Im using shampoos with ALS I shouldnt ever have to clarify, right? BTW, Im using this twice a wk. Anyone who knows the answer is more than welcome to comment.:)

Have you ever used a clarifying shampoo before? I would probably clarify atleast once a month to rid your hair of all the styling product buildup. I actually clarify once a week because it just makes my hair feel better.

Thanks ladies! :yay: So far you guys have listed:
BreakThru (and Lord knows I need one!)
KeraCare Hydrating
Elasta QP Cream Conditioning
Design Essentials Moisturizing Shampoo
Phyto Nectar shampoo
Isoplus Conditioning

I've tried KeraCare before so maybe I'll check out the BreakThru or Elasta.

If there are any more to be considered, please do tell.

just a heads up, design essentials moisture retention shampoo is no longer sulfate free, it now contains ammonium lauryl sulfate

Who makes "Breakthrough" is it Pantene?

I believe it's by Softsheen Carlson, though I might be mistaken. The Deep Conditioner is amazing but I've never tried the shampoo.

I personally like Doo-Gro's Moisturizing Growth Shampoo. I've tried many a sulfate-less shampoo and I don't like them. My hair always comes out a matted mess as it feels as if not everything was washed out and just kind of "moved around." The Doo-Gro shampoo cleans my hair, but actually leaves a bit of slip behind, so my coils feel moist post rinse.

I have used both the isoplus and the breakthru and they are both so wonderful. I think walmart sells the isoplus just a little cheaper then CON so you might wanna check it out.

Sedal Keraforce Shampoo!!!!!!!!

I like it because it detangles like CON without all the buildup. It also has a nice fragrance.

Excellent question!! Thx also for posting results. I have yet to find something I like better than CON. I've tried quite a few and I am back at CON. :ohwell:

Elaste qp cream shampoo and breakthru are staples. Right now Breakthru is more of a staple.

I agree with gloomgeisha; after some of those organic shampoos, my hair feels hard, and the Doo-gro gives great slip; I also like the Mizani Botanifying for slip as well; I try to use those on my last rinse. HTH!

When I saw it at the Dollar Store, I wondered why. Also at the BSS that I see has a Break Thru display, it is getting empty and they don't seem to be restocking. I hate when good products get discontinued.

I used Verifen Complex Beneficial Phase Shampoo for ten years. I highly recommend it. My hairdresser recommended Cream of Nature (moisturizing/detangling), so I've been using it for almost two years. I'm impressed with the results and the cost. I plan to go back to Verifen Beneficial Phase Shampoo, because I have a few bottles left.
