Someone on here (sorry, I forget her username) turned me on to Hairzings. You can find them at hairzing.com. They are a little pricey, but if they can handle tons of thick curls, they are worth thier weight in gold. I haven't used them yet, but they look neat.

They have tutorial vids on how to use them to make 17 different styles!
