What type of hair pins for a 1/2 wig?

I'm not sure which type of pins to secure my half wig. Is is the #1 kind or the #2?

you need number one
the number two is for pin curls. or bunning. nothing secure about #2 at all.

I agree. You need number 1.

However, you may need the larger ones for the sides of the 1/2 wig.
I normally use the larger ones on the side (angled downward so they don't show through my wig) and then the small ones in the back (because I take the combs out the back of my wigs).

Thank you ladies I had left the house with the #2 kind (all I had) and it was a lil wobbly but no thank goodness 'malfucntions'

Number one! Please don't use #2 or you will have breakage where the end of the bobby snags the hair.

Yeah, I bought some 'proper' ones much more secure almost too secure, any tips on placement so I don't feel like I'm pulling out my hair? I tried pinning evenly around the wig but I still felt tension....
