I ordered this hair online and we ran out while braiding... so now I'm trying to find a way to still be able to leave the house and not look bad while I wait 2 or 3 days for the hair to get here. I tried a hat but that was obv, and a scarf didn't work well either. Any suggestions from ya'll? The left half is the undone half.

How long and thick are these braids? You'd need hair to your knees before it's too long to wrap it around your head and cover it with a wig or net weave cap. The weave caps esp are very stretchy. But if that's not an option then my trusty fallback is a headwrap. Find some pretty fabric, tie it on to suit yourself and you're good to go.

Waist-length and around pencil-sized. Headwrap sounds like a good idea. Do those stay on well?

Can you post a pic? Maybe we can get ideas if we see what you have. Or describe how much/what area of your head is braided.

I've worn a hat with the finished braids hanging out and the unbraided part hidden under the hat.

I've also had to go to work when only half my extensions braids were unbraided. I sorta cornrowed the braided hair and donned a phony puff, then used a scarf to sorta kinda hide the area of my head that I couldn't disguise. No one suspected that I hadn't just put my hair in a puff at the top of my head:
