Hello Ladies
I planned on getting braids sometime this month and I really need to know what I should do before I go to the salon. Should I do a hardcore protein treatment? On the day of should I wash and deep condition my hair?
Any tips or recommendations are welcome.
Thanks in Advance
Sydney

if you're going to a salon, why arent they doing this for you?

anyway, i always do a light protein (keraphix) and deep condition my hair before i get braids. i dont think a hardcore protein is really necessary.. because braids arent a chemical service or anything.

Apply a treatment for strength. I don't use protein so I can't recommend any. Everyday Henna has a Herbal blend called Lotus Powder Plus that strengthens your hair (without the dry feeling protein has). Then follow up with a deep conditioner like a Dominician Tropical CO. I like to saturate my hair with water before applying a conditioner for extra moisture. Cover with a shower cap

Then moisturize your hair and seal in the moisture. Give your hair/scalp a BREAK before getting braids.

thanks a lot.
Candibaby they should do it for me. BUt i have been to many salons where they haven't.
