I usually cowash with some type of HE condish or with TJ nourishing spa. But I decided to switch to aussie moist because it was on sale for 2.50 so i thought why not. I cowashed and my hair felt like extremely soft and fluffy so I decided to experiment and let it air dry without any product on it. I wake up expecting my hair to be rough and feel like a dessert like it usually does when it dries before I can put product on it but i woke up to my hair being completely dry BUT it still feels SUPER soft and it doesnt have that dry feeling, in fact when i rub my fingers together it feels like their an oily substance on it as if I did moisturize it :yep:

So is this a fluke and probably wouldnt happen again or did I just find a breakthrough of not having to moisturize and seal and just being able to co wash every other day?? IDK how long this will last it's only day one but i'll keep you guys updated

OH by the way I am transitioning for like 2.5-3 years and I am only 6 months in and my hair was short before this so I half half relaxed hair half natural and BOTH textures feel this way!!

Definitely keep me updated about how the hair feels at the end of the week. Also, so you're hair felt soft when you woke up...what about as the day went on? Did you add anything else to your hair? How did you style it when you went to bed?

well I woke up at like 12 because I dont work today and I went to bed late. its now like 3pm and still no change. I just put a bonnet on, no twisting or braiding or anything. I have added NOTHING to my hair and I dont plan on adding anything until It starts getting dry and i'll just add a little EVOO but if that doesnt work i'm going to have to re cowash and add my leave in. i'll def. keep you updated!!

see? why did i read this? now i'mma have to get some Aussie Moist......stomps out of thread and puts on coat to go to drugstore....... :) LOL

OP, glad you found something that works!

My shorter relaxed hair loved Aussie moist....My longer hair...Not so much. After I came out of my u-part wigs after almost a year I ran out and bought the giant container with a pump. I had scalp buildup and buildup on my strands galore. At least I can use it for shaving and cleaning my combs

Is it curly girl friendly? I thought the cones took it off the.list. I gave up Aussie mosit, but glad it works for you

REALLY!! do you still use it?? if not why not??

I don't use anything with silicones because of the build up I get but Aussie moist was the hardest to let go

Agreed. When I went silicone-free Aussie Moist & Aussie 3 minute deep were hard to let go of. Esp. the 3 minute deep.

ETA:

Hmm, now that I think about it, I never gave up sulfate shampoos (which is why most people avoid silicones). I may have to add that 3 minute deep back into my routine.

Just started using this after being pretty much cone free since I BC'd. I love it. My hair feels very soft with no product. I'm also loving Infusium 23 Moisture Replenisher. So I'll just be clarifying every few weeks. I like how my hair feels :-)
