I normally have lots of breakage cuz I always see short hairs on wash day. Aphogee 2 mn didn't do anything for it. The more intense one, I don't remember paying attention to the result but I will next time I use it.

I probably have breakage because of the heat damaged ends that I can't seem to cut off!

So, in the meanwhile whatchu use?

If my hair needs a boost of STRENGTH to stop breakage, (which is usually when I'm around 5 to 6 weeks post) I use Aphogee's 2 Step Protein Treatment and it stops the breakage on the spot.

subscribing...

Nothing seems to work for me either. I tried the Aphogee hardcore stuff and also tried the 2 min. last night for the first time and followed with a deep conditioner. My hair is still breaking. Granted its not a lot but its still breaking nonetheless.

When I was relaxed, ORS Hair Mayonnaise OR an egg mixed with a cheapy conditioner and EVOO did the job for me.

i just deep condition and use mizani night treatment three times a week and it gone. but since i started washing once a week along with deep conditioning and co washing once a week my hair doesnt break.

It depends on why its breaking.

If its protein I need Duo Tex for 10 minutes with heat or Joico Kpak works

Sebastians No 9 Wearable Treatment combined with a dab of moisturizing leave-in ( I use Breaks Over) applied to damp or dry hair. Works like a charm.

The aphogee hard treatment worked wonders for me. Immediately after using it I noticed the strength and my ends were 90 % less split, no lie.

Aphogee hardcore followed by a good moisturizing con like Proclaim Aloe and Shea. Cowashing every other day works wonders for me too.

Distilled water. I clarify, rinse with distilled, oil rinse with distilled and viola!

Dudley DRC 28 followed by a moisturizing conditioner works best for me.
Expensive but worth every penny.

Just washing/cowashing it stops my breakage.

To me it means my hair is lacking moisture. So if after moisturizing and sealing and its still breaking, i just get ready to make it a wash day. Hair just needs water. It's too dry.

Aphogee!! (Two-Step Protein Treatment and the Keratin 2-Minute Reconstructor). My hair loves this line. I think my hair loves protein in general 'cause I use a lot of products with different types of protein in them, and I have never had a problem

I would give the hardcore treatment another try, but you have to take your time with it and follow the instructions to a T. Since I started using Mega-Tek, I've noticed my hair doesn't break at all, but I immediately follow with a moisturizing conditioner.

Mane & Tail conditioner is a good one too - 2 minutes MAX!! Otherwise your hair will feel stiff and unmanageable :nono:

And when you guys talk about breakage, what exactly do you mean?

For example, EVERYTIME I was my hair, I see tons of short hairs or longer strands with no bulb. So for you, when you say product X stops your breakage, you mean you don't see ANY short strands?

Most of the time I will use aPHogee 2min to stop the little hairs... but the night before i put my hair in braids I rinsed my hair with warm water, slathered it in ORS Replenishing conditioner (which is considered a light protein), put on a plastic baggy, covered that with a silk scarf and went to bed. Becuase its such a light protein and so moisturizing the next morning my hair was breakage free =)

Usually a henna treatment will do it for me followed by a deep conditon.

Ditto on this!!!
