my sister uses medium (2 in i believe) rollers for regualar...but if she doesnt want much of a curl and just a bend with volume she'll go as big as 3inch jumbo. One time she resulted to using pepsi cans when she forgot them at home when we were on vacation....

Your sister must of really wanted that set lol. Thanks for the info I was thinking that.

Which clips do you think are better?

or

or somthing else???

the all purpose metal clips I think are the best because the clip very close to the roller and does not hang outside the roller to interfere with other rollers. If that makes sense

My hair is about six inches in length (at the base of my neck) and I use the 1 1/2 inch rollers for my wet sets, and a combination of 1 1/2 and 1 5/8 for my nightly dry sets.

It all depends if you desire body, or curl. I like body - just enough bend to give my hair some shape and definition.

Don't use the green ones. My hair never comes out right with them for some reason, and I don't like the pink ones much either. I think I'm going to purchase a bunch of the orange ones. I have the purple ones, but I only use those for rollersets.

When my hair was close to brastrap, I used to use the green ones, but they never came out right either. So I used the purple ones, and that gave my hair a nice curl.

What do you all do after you rollerset if you want to keep the curl (in other words not wrap) but not have the 50's lookin' do? Do you just comb it out or brush it?

What size are the purple ones? I am planning on doing a doobie and maybe some dry sets. I don't want that much of a curl and definitely not the 50s style. I think this is what has turned me off from rollersets. But I know that I need the right equipment which is bigger rollers. I am going to have to get different sizes.

Thanks Ladies!!!

By the way, are all of these colors the same sizes throughout each brand?

The purple ones are pretty darn big, I don't know the inches. As far as color sizing, I do believe they range brand to brand. I think the green colored ones tend to be standard, but I'm not sure.

If you go to my webpage and go to rollerset, you'll see a picture of my rollers that I use to rollerset. If you don't want a bouffant look you might have to blowdry your hair a bit, or do a wrap right after you hair is completely dry.
