I was looking into buying a sedu flat iron and wanted to know what inch do you all think is best for my shoulder length hair 1" or 1 1/2"? My hair is layered and the longest layer is in between my shoulders. TIA!:)

I would go for the 1inch...in order to reach your roots. I dont like or use anything over 1

thanks ladies! i was wanting to do my roots so sounds like the 1" will be best.:D

I was thinking 1 inch as well...but a lot of ladies are getting good results with the maxiglide and it is well over 1 inch...Any maxiglide users care to comment?

1 inch definitely.

I have an FHI that is 1 1/4 inch and though it is only slighly larger, I am thinking I would have been better off with the one inch iron for really getting those roots and edges flat. That is the main part you want to reach.:)

yes i think that is what i want to buy. when those roots get nappy i definitely want to be able to get to them so that i can straighten them. thanks.:D

I agree with a lot of the other ladies, 1" is definitely a keeper (it really gets to your roots to give you that all around straight look)

I have a 1 1/4" Solia. My hair is texturized and I have new growth, but it got my roots completely straight. I only got the 1 1/4" because the 1" was out of stock and I didn't want to wait, but I am VERY happy with it. My last iron was a very wide Gold 'n Hot and this smaller iron is so much easier to use.

On another note, I love the Solia! I didn't know my hair could get so straight! It was worth the $88 and after using it, I would have paid twice as much.
