I just started using Chi Silk Infusion. It does wonders making my hair feely soft and light and getting it straight. It does not give me shine though. Anyone have any advice? I am natural.

*listening* I want to knowmore about lacio lacio. I just started using CHI as well. It makes me want to ramp up the heat usage (i'm not I know better).I want shine too. I guess I could try mixing it with a shine serum.

Do you use lacio lacio before flat ironing?

I'll usually apply a dime-sized amount before applying a heat protectant. I normally rollerset my hair prior to flat-ironing using lacio lacio as well. I've noticed a big difference since doing so-my hair has never felt so silky :yep:

I think she meant extra virgin coconut oil.

If the question is about after flat ironing, then I spray my hair lightly with Keracare Oil Sheen. Works well against humidity :D

Hands Down Jane Carter Nourish & Shine does sooooo much for me its probably one of the best products out there.

Lacio Lacio is good for shine,

I actually use Ojon Shine & Protect spray everytime I flatiron...it's a heat protectant and gives hair a great shine with a silky feel. It's also super light and never weighs the hair down. =]

It can be used before too. I should have made that clear. I might try ORS though. I love their conditioner.

Great thread! I was just sitting here thinking about the end of my stretch (IN DECEMBER :( )and getting my hair flat ironed. I was wondering about a product that would have my hair shiny like BAMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

I will keep reading for product ideas, but so far Lacio Lacio seems to be a favorite.

I just went to the BSS. They do not have Lacio Lacio. Where do you all buy it from? I ended up buying ORS Polishing Glosser instead. I like their other products so maybe this will work.

ITA...I don't flat iron, but after roller setting Keracare Oil Sheen gives me great shine!

I'm relaxed but what works for me...no lie....is pure coconut oil!!!! I put that sucka in my hair, put a roller around it or twist it and then in the morning I flat iron. That sucka leaves my hair soft, straight and shiny!

Organic Coconut oil or Jane Carter's Solutions Nourish and Shine are the best 2 products I've found for shine.

ETA: THe stylist used JC Nourish & Shine in my avatar pic.
