Gosh, where do I start?
Rusk Smoother -- made my hair a wreck whether I airdried or rollerset
Sta Sof Fro
S Curl
Baggie Method.

I could go on and on. :ohwell:  :(

Anotha one! I feel ya on these two!

On the top of my list is Silicon Mix. I think my hair can't products with alot of silicones in it. This means alot of the serums are out for me. I can use NTM Healing shine serum if I put it on soaking wet hair.

Here are the rest:
S curl
ORS mayo (used to work great but now all I get is tangles)
Pantene products (except the detangling spray)

DITTO, on this one!

con washes
Surge 14 burned my scalp
leave in conditioners- they all seem to make my hair really heavy:(
EVVO- could not take the smell
putting hair in bun

I have not figured out how to do buns as a protective style. No matter how well I moisturize my hair and ends or how carefully I try to put the bun together, my ends are always dry and it causes major breakage.

Also, conditioner (CO) washes. I think it's okay right after relaxer, but closer to touch up time, the conditioner never fully washes out of my hair, getting stuck, and it's breakage city!

The jury's still out on:

MTG
S-Curl

I just started using these two methods about 4 weeks ago, and I have braids, so I'll know when I remove them. I'll update you then.

Mane and Tail- Just realized it increased shedding
ORS Mayo-it weighed down my hair and my scalp went crazy
CW- Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but my hair never dried in time for me to leave my house
Infusium Leave-In-breakage
EVOO as a pre-poo- I couldn't get all of it out and my hair was greasy
Protective Styles- where the hair was bent is weak.
Air drying-my hair comes out hard....maybe due to the MNT though.

If anybody has leftover NTM product(s) that they want to give away for free...I'll gladly sacrifice myself and take them off of your hands!

ORS Hair Mayo-weighed my hair down and left a film

Aphogee Treatment-made my hair hard and tangled....took 2 weeks to get my softness & manageability back

Affirm relaxer- burned & burned, ate my scalp up

S-Curl
Baggie Method
Cheapie conditioners (Suave, V05 etc)
Washing hair in the shower
Queen Helene Cholesterol
AO Honeysuckle Rose shampoo

Aubrey's GPB [any other Aubrey's product]
Scurl
Airdrying in a bun or ponytail
Silicon Mix
Affirm Products
Lightweight conditioners like Suave, Tressemme or VO5
ORS Hair Mayo (left hair HARD!!)

i also have been struggling with the bun. I moisturize the ends with water, conditioner and an oil on top (wgo or olive oil) and sometimes i too end up with dry or hard ends. Any suggestions or what should be used instead on the ends??? I really want the bun to work for me :look:

I have also given up with S Curl, water and conditioner is more effective for me on the whole

Stretching relaxers- my hair grows fast, and i have a lot of it, gives me problems(major shedding/ breakage) than just relaxed hair.
pure silcones- i hate the feeling of coated hair, after you put cones in your hair, nothing eles can pentrate it until you wash it .
shampooing often
pure protien treatments=dried out hair

Hmmm....let me see. I have tried so many products being both natural and relaxed

BUNS (definited never ever again because I had to wear them on and off for 7 yrs/ 5 days a week while in uniform and plus my ends stayed dry and I had breakage no matter how moisturized my hair was)

CW (drying..my hair receives moisture better if my hair is clean)

S CURL/STASOFRO(sp)/GEL ACTIVATOR (yuck..made my hair feel like straw)

CHEAP CONDITIONERS (except for herbal essence, doesn't provide enough moisture and I had to use practically the whole bottle in order for my hair to feel conditioned)

BEING NATURAL (although I was thinking about transitioning again, I decided against it. Natural hair was a lot more work for me than relaxed hair. Yes it is considered healthier because there is no chemical but natural hair doesn't grow, breaks and sheds just like relaxed hair if you don't properly take care of the hair. My hair grow whether relaxed or natural but I now prefer my hair to be relaxed because for me it is less work but still healthy.

BRAIDS (just can't do. I had braids before (human and synthetic) and I just can't take the itching or the time it takes to put them in and take them out. I always waste my money when I get them because I would take them right out within a couple of weeks.

VITAMINS (uhh...just no although I have started back taking centrum and vitamin e but it is for my health not my hair. At one time I had so many vitamins(that was suppose to help with hairgrowth) that it just felt like a chore and I just found it to be unnecessary because my hair grows anyway as long as I keep it washed and conditioned.

STRETCHING RELAXER (for more than 2 months..I am still debating about this. I had some breakage/shedding when I stretched for 4 months but I am going to give it another try and then make a decision although I do think that it is better to get regular touch ups instead of stretching and risking alot of breakage.

WEAVES (just can't do it again..yes I had one before it was beautiful but again the itching, dealing with extremely tangled hair after i washed it, oh the shedding, the overheated feeling like I had heater on my head especially in the summer and the most important reason...using all of my good products on some hair that wasn't even mine...I had to but more product on the weave than I have ever had to on my own hair just to make it manageable. That was a big no no. I love my products and for the money I spend on them to be wasting them on weave.

MTG..... no matter how hard I try or what I try it just doesnt like me :nono:
I still get the same amount of growth with or without it.

Elasta Qp mango butter - burned the heck out of my scalp!

Ms. Key 10 en 1 plus - left my hair hard, tangled and feeling and looking really dry.

1. Constant Protective styles--now that my hair is growing and it's cool outside, I like wearing it down.
2. Air drying--after a while my hair gets dry and feels like mush.
3. Stretching relaxers w/o braids--can't go longer than 11 wks without the help of braids.
