1st Sat: Hot Oil Treatment

2nd Sat: Cholesterol Treatment

3rd Sat: Clarify Shampoo

4th Sat: Black Tea Rinse

Daily co-wash with Tresemme Moisture for Dry and Damaged Hair Conditioner.

Wash my hair with Tresemme Moisture for Dry and Damaged Hair Shampoo once per week.

Deep condition with Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask once per week (after shampooing).

After I co-wash my hair, I allow my hair to airdry for about 5 minutes (I don't towel dry my hair). If I'm wearing a wash and go I apply
Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave-In Cream with UV Shield, then Beyond the Zone Noodlehead Curl Creme. If I'm wearing my hair up in a clip, in a ponytail or in a bun, I use Pantene Pro-v Moisture Renewal Conditioner and then I use IC gel to smooth down my edges.

About once every month or two, I blow dry my hair and wear them in two strand twists or single braids. I blow dry my hair using Silk Elements heat protectant and a comb attachment. Then, I apply Murray's Creme Beeswax while I twist or braid.

I also straighten my hair about 3-5x per year. I use three sprays of Silk Elements heat protectant and blow dry my hair using a comb attachment. Then, I flat iron my hair using the Maxiglide on 8.

I also have a satin pillowcase on my pillow, which I sleep on every night.

Sunday - Saturday
*Cowash with suave naturals ($1.68/bottle :)
*Wear wash and go or bun
At night
*Oil scalp with homemade mixture
*Apply Avocado butter and coconut oil - put in a pineapple, then sleep

*deep condition for 30 mins once a week.

Thursday nights
Shampoo with Aphogee for Damaged hair
pour coffee rinse over hair
add Profective Mega Growth conditioner
depending on the week (Aphogee 2-min reconstructor or ORS replenishing pak)
Aphogee green tea spray
rollerset til dry
apply NTM leave-in/EQP Mango Butter mix and seal with jojoba or coconut oil

apply BeeMine every other night

Shampoo once or twice a week. Depending on what my hair needs
Pre-poo with olive oil
shampoo with ion color defense or nexxus therapee
COndition with either Generic Nexxus Tea Tree or Neutrogena Recovery Mask.
Leave in with Herbal Essence Long Term Relationship
Moisturize daily with Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1 and seal w/olive oil.
Use BeeMine twice-three times a week on my scalp.

Shampoo once a week
Deep condition twice a week
Moisturize twice daily with extra virgin coconut oil
Leave in with Lacio Lacio

On wash/conditioner days, I put my scarf on my hair when it's still wet and let it air dry

I know my regimen is simple but I'm new to all this and still tweaking to find out what's the best for me.

thank you, i think keeping it simple is the key and not stressing if your hair acts up at times or if you haven't found the right products at first.

i like simple wash, condish, deep condish every week or so and either rollerset or blow dry.

forgot to add i clarify sometimes weekly or montly with suaves daily clarifying shampoo, i wash once or twice with it and then once more with my regular shampoo.

Everyone,
Thank you for your replies. I washed my hair this evening and am so MAD, tried doing a roller set, FAILURE. I couldn't even get the rollers to stay in my hair. I ended up blowdrying and then flat ironing my hair. I am so frustrated right now I don't know what to do with myself.

My hair regimen is basically:

- eat healthy, get regular exercise, avoid stress and get adequate sleep
- co-wash once per week, detangle then rollerset
- if there is buildup, shampoo, add leave-in(s), detangle then rollerset
- comb/detangle only when hair is wet; fingercomb when dry
- wear hair in an updo or curly/textured style
- moisturize once per day
- self-relax every 13 weeks (4 times a year); protein treatment, DC and color rinse at that time
- protect hair from rough surfaces and at bedtime
- trim hair after a major goal is surpassed or as needed
- leave hair alone as much as possible (low manipulation)

My more-detailed hair regimen is located in my fotki, in the "About Me" section.

Wash 2x/week
Deep condition once a week
Rollerset, blow out roots wrap.
Moisturize ends every 2-3 days.
Wrap hair at night for up to 2 days after wash, then bun.
Protective styles 5 days/week. Wear hair down on the weekends.

I'm a KISS-er :giggle:

(notice I didn't list products, that's another thread entirely :lachen: )

Everyone,
Thanks again for all of your responses. I have decided to try and keep my regimen simple since I am new to this and didn't have a regimen at all. :lachen:

My Regimen:

- prepoo with EVOO (ALWAYS!)

- wash once per week (if i have product buildup, then i might wash a 2nd time during the week)

- DC once per week

- protein treatment once per month

- after washing --- air dry, detangle with wide-tooth comb while damp, flat iron straight [[OR]] put into 6-8 braids while wet and wear braidout for the week. <-- I alternate weeks... so I have straight hair for a week, curly hair for a week... etc.

- dusting only when split ends are out of control

- goal for 2009 --- more protective styles. i've been wearing braided buns for awhile now and i plan on participating in the Bun for Growth challenge.

Don't give up, rollersetting can take practice. You'll get it soon! But sometimes it can make you want to :wallbash:

Prepoo/Dry DC: Sitri Nillah DC Masque or Aubrey Organics Honesuckle Rose (no heat)
Poo: CON Detangling (Green label) or Mizani Botanifying
Instant Condish: V05 Moisture Milks (detangle in shower)
Leave In: Giovanni Direct / Aphogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer / (little) Fantasia IC Polisher
Airdry or rollerset with no additional product

Moisturize 1 - 2 times a day (no seal)
Protective styling 98.2367% of the time
Megatek str8 to the scalp 4 times a week

I'm getting rid of products so this is my regimen at the moment.

May be a silly question, but is this the extra virgin olive oil you buy in the supermarket to cook, or is there a special kind for your hair?
