What is the difference?

Can someone tell me the difference between a recontructor and a protein treatment? Are they the same, or totally different from each other?

Thanks!

The difference is the strength and conditioning they provide. Here is the order of strongest to weakest:

Strongest: Protein Treatment (makes hair stronger because of protein)
Middle: Reconstructor (a really deep deep conditioner for strength)
Middle: Strengthener (regular deep conditioner)
Weakest: Deep Conditioner (conditions, least strength)

Hope that helps!

Thanks Poohbear!

I was asking b/c I had this recontructor hair mask from Sebastian. I was gonna use it Monday, but I have an appointment with my stylist today and she told me she was gonna give me a protein treatment. Would that be too much protein if I had used the hair mask and had the salon treatment in the same week?

Does the recontructor hair mask from Sebastian have protein in it???

Im not an expert on how much protein someone should have in the hair (Ive never had a protein treatment done in my life yet).

But should see how protein affects your hair to determine if its too much or not.

Yes, it does have protein in it and that's why I didn't use it. I'll ask my stylist and see what she thinks.
