What is the difference between a "Salon" Dryer and a "Do It Yourself" Dryer?

I am asking this question because aren't the watts the same? If you are doing a rollerset, as long as you let it dry completely, don't you get the same results? They (dryers) last the same amount of time..no!?

I might be having buyers remorse...

What if I purchased a dryer that performs just like a Gold N Hot does!

Any input helps.

I can't say exactly what it is, but there is definitely a difference. I don't know if it's watt's, amps, etc, but alot of times the salon dryers get hotter, have bigger hoods, have more power, and are stronger, because they are built to accomadate alot of heads daily, that need to get out fast.

Bumping again... Lord knows I jumped on the bandwagon when buying my dryer. Honestly, my Hot Tools table dryer is pretty good. I can't really get everything dry at the same time without twisting/turning and I doubt anything bigger than my purples will fit.
