I really don't know hopefully somebody will have the answer. I have abot 2 inches of under processed hair that i was going to relax again when I got my next touch up. but for know I'm wearing cornrows so I don't have to touch it.
You can also use a straightening balm.

I would love to help you but I'm not sure I have the best answer. Some of my hair is underprocessed and it hasn't been a problem for me. It just means I don't have bone-straight hair.

Perhaps a good leave-in conditioner will help with the tangles, as well as wearing styles that do not require much manipulation. I use Biolage Leave-In Hair Tonic and alternate with Nexxus Headress leave-in conditioner. These days I'm wearing mostly buns and french twists.

Some people have had success running their relaxer through the underprocessed parts for a brief time but maybe that needs to be done by a professional.

How long ago was the touch-up? Who performed it? Did u switch relaxers? If the hair is tangled it'll have to be detangled very gently using a wide tooth pick/ comb. Don't rush it. Take ur time and detangle section by section. If the hair is dry use a little (citric acid containing)detangling spritz on it to make the hair slightly damp but not wet.
If the touch up was more than 5 weeks ago I think it will be safe to have a corrective relaxer done by a professional. If not, detangle and wear ur hair curly (eg. in braid outs) till its safe 2 relax again.
Good luck!

Thanks Kenyana! I will try my best until I can get this all "straightened out." My touch up was about 9 weeks ago. But, I have to wait at least three more until I can go back home. No, I did not which relaxers but I do know why it is underprocessed.

Thanks Isis! I am sure I will be okay. I am just impatient with it. I hate these tangles but they will not be that big of a deal. I just have to take my time and not mess with it too much until i get my next relaxer.
