Why is it that they seem to keep pulling more and more products from their shelves? Especially alot of the products marketed toward black people. Everytime I go in there something else is gone. Yesterday, I went in there looking for deep brilliance. Now I "know" I have seen it in there before, but now it is gone. And they act like they have no clue that it was ever being sold there. Maybe this is just happening in Kentucky. Anyone else experiencing this?

Girl, I was thinking the same thing too! They have NOTHING where I am now, then again, I'm not really in a "black" area. I know I used to have to go to a certain Sallys if I wanted to find something marketed towards black hair, because I think each individual store caters to its customers...however, lately, it just seems like all of them aren't carrying the best selection of ethnic products/lines :-(

That's the way Sally's operates. I have a few Sally's locations in my city, some in the suburbs, some in the "minority" part of town...you know which ones I have to visit to find african american products. :(

I don't ever recall seeing any Deep Brilliance products in any of the Sally's stores that I've shopped. :( Their selection of products is not the best. :nono:

The one I go to never has the QP mango butter. I usually get my curl wax and glaze from there though, because it's cheaper than the BSS.

The one by my house doesn't carry any Elasta products. I asked the funny gay guy with the highlites if they carried Elasta and he said, "Honey, I WISH"!
Now, the one buy my old house carries it, but that's an hour away. I'm sure it's just supply and demand; if that area has a demand for it, they carry it.

While I lived in MN, I had to go to Sally's. that was the closest to a black hair supply store in my town.
I dont go there anymore  brings back too many bad memories. NOw that there are hair stores everywhere, I just go there instead.

I feel the same way when I was on the hunt looking for Vitale relaxer, shampoo and conditioner, which they no longer carry.

IMO, Sally's has never really had much of a selection ever.

I went in there a few months ago looking for the Caruso Steam Rollers and they supposedly were sold out.:ohwell:

ELASTA QP MANGO BUTTER! :( (nowhere to be found at Sally's) :ohwell:

The same thing happened to me when I went looking for Vitale at the Sally's in Upper Darby, I thought I was crazy and kept checking Southerngirlz Fotki, to read the Sally's sticker on her Vitale products, lol. But the local BSS I go to so much, ordered the entire line of Vitale just for me, ;) . So Sally's won't be seeing too much of me.

This is why I shop online! Plus my hubby actually told ME Sally's is a waste of gas. The last time I was there, the shelves were empty and it was not Xmas time. When I go to Queens, I usually stock up from the local BSS near Greenpoint Ave.

I remember finding a lot there back in the day...they did carry more "black" lines....I don't know why I still go there when everytime I walk out empty handed....I guess because it's so convienient, I just HOPE that I'll walk in there and find what I'm looking for...
