Either. So long as all it says is 100% henna that can be used for body.

does 100% henna leaves give natural colour? or a redish tint?

Pure henna will ALWAYS give you a reddish tint to some degree.

Cassia which is not henna, but 100% natural is neutral/colorless.

Henna is nothing but ground henna plant leaves so if that's all it says it has in it, you should be good to go! There is a difference between henna for hair and BAQ henna though, for some reason (I don't know why), the BAQ seems to give a better stain/color deposit. I think most choose BAQ because it seems to be a better guarantee against other additives being included.

Both are good for conditioning/coloring the hair though.

thank you loads for the advice.

i think ill get it and add some vatika & jasmin oil OR amla oil & jasmini oil. ill do a sample test 1st just to see how the colour turns out- i read it takes a couple of days to develop.

One thing to also keep in mind is that the coloring w/henna intensifies with each use (until your hair reaches a maximum saturation point). So the color you get the first time may be deeper or redder the next time and so on until your hair is 'full' and can't absorb any more color. Then, it'll stay the same color and only the new growth will be able to absorb color (until it's 'full' too).

I hope that makes sense. :look:

ohhh. ok i understand that.

just to clear things up- No henna or indigo should contain dyes or addetives. (as VWVixxen said in her post) henna gives a stain/color deposit on the hair and that was the colour i was referring to.
