What is \"good hair\" really?

My husband is mixed African-American and American-Indian. Him and his mom both have beautiful hair.

Well, when we first were dating, there were times when the humidity or whatever would have my hair all puffed out, and I would complain to him, "I wish I had 'good hair' like you do."

Now, 14 years later, if I ever complain about "good hair" or my puffy hair, he points to his hair (which is now kinda doing that male pattern baldness thing), and tells me, "Nay, GOOD HAIR is hair that STAYS on your head!!"

Yes, my hair might be puffy, but it is thick and luscious as ever!

So, ladies, say it with me: What is "good hair"? HAIR THAT STAYS ON YOUR HEAD!

No matter what kind of hair you have it is always good hair unless you mistreat this

Unfortunately most people I know still think good hair has to be hair that is "mixed" looking and that "black" hair can't be good hair... to me, good hair is healthy, vivrant hair.

It is funny, I get the most compliments on my hair when it is 6 weeks post relaxer and really full. So, I think good hair is healthy hair that is in very good condition.

Good hair, IMO, is hair that is healthy, neat, and clean.
