I have heard about it plenty of times and never paid much attention to it. A friend of mine said when she was little she used to use this and her hair was always thick and long. But I dont think I have ever seen this before. What does this stuff look like? I cant even do a search on it. I dont think I would ever use it because I already have so many things I am using. What is this stuff?

It's a thick grease that is "blue". I think I've seen some that is green, too, though. It comes in a clear bottle that says, "blue majic" and it has white writing and a white top. It will last forever. I had a bottle for years and it's still not out!!

I have relatives who swear that Blue Magic Coconut Oil makes their hair grow faster. But it's just too greasy for me to put all over my head. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Man, if I could find some Hair Rep, I'd take that over Blue Magic any day! My mom used to take the Hair Rep and mix it with mineral oil. Made my hair sooo thick and long! Too bad, it's discontinued! /images/graemlins/cry3.gif

Blue Magic is a brand that makes grease, pressing oil, gel and a couple of other products. I use the green and blue heavy thick grease, but I like the green one best.

Here are the ingredients: Petrolatum, Lanolin, Olive Oil, Lecithin, Isopropyl Myristate & Fragrance

Blue Magic Bergamot Hair and Scalp Conditioner effectively conditions and controls hair in all kinds of weather. The balanced formula helps prevent dry, dull hair and flaky, itchy scalp. Never greasy or tacky to touch. Regular use helps prevent breakage. (copied from jar)

This product is recommended for "Grease Monkeys" only. /images/graemlins/rofl.gif

my mom used to put blue magic (both blue & green) on my hair when i was little. my hair was always long back then (before i met the evil SHS).

Blue Magic and Queen Bergamont is the shiz nit for me. /images/graemlins/weird.gif

So are you all saying that Blue Magic (the green and blue) makes your hair long and thick? Is it thick because it's caked full of grease? Do you think it was the Blue Magic that made your hair long and thick when you were little or was it less chemicals and natural hair as little girls? Does any one use the Blue Magic White Coconut oil? Whats the difference between the green and blue?

No, I'm not saying that Blue Magic makes your hair long and thick, but it does help me retain growth, manage newgrowth, withstand the weather, hold curls, give shine and my hair has thickened over the years, since I've been using it. Actually, my hair is much thicker than it was as a child. I've always been told that I have thin hair, but it's not as thin anymore.

IMO, my hair has thickened thanks to heavy grease like Blue Magic, but of course, I really don't know. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif Overall, you just have to find what works best for you. My hair doesn't doesn't respond well to all greases, like those with mineral oil or light greases like B & B Supergrow.

Green - has Olive Oil (NO Mineral Oil)
Blue - has Mineral Oil (NO Olive oil)
Coconut - Petrolatum and Coconut Oil
