Bronxbaby, if you do a search for hennalucent you'll get a lot of information. There are tons of posts on henna and hennalucent and their benefits for hair.

Bronxbaby,

Hennalucent is used to loosent the curl pattern of the hair. It comes in Neutral and several other shades. It is the only henna containing product that I know of that will not damage relaxed or chemically treated hair. Since you live in NYC, you can buy this product in most beauty supply stores. I have used this product extensively and can really vouch for it

Henna is used for conditioning as well as colouring the hair. It coats the strands of your hair causing it to stretch out the curl pattern a bit.

Please don't over use it thought. Once a month should be sufficent. Althought it is all natural it does have the tendancy of drying out the hair and in some cases it can become very brittle.

In a nutshell, I believe henna is a dye that has the added benefit of conditioning the hair. Hennalucent is the safer alternative for those who relax their hair. I have no idea about Lotus Powder, another henna alternative.

i tried henna before and it was horrible (speaking only for me). my hair was DRYYYYYY!!! it did not lose my curl pattern one bit either. and on top of all that it was a big mess putting it on the hair and rinsing it out.
