What is a braid out

I have been reading up on some of the different methods and I keep seeing something about braidout... also I have braids right now and I am taking them out Thursday... I plan on washing my hair with a clarifying shampoo and giving myself a hot oil treatment... Which should I do first... ***After a hot oil treatment... Should you wash your hair....

A braid out is when you plait your hair when it's damp. (Most people also apply a styling product for hold and frizz reduction...) When you take the plaits out and finger comb your hair, you have a nice crinkly look. Depending on the size of the plait, you'll end up with anything from a crimped look to loose waves.

I've never done a hot oil treatment right after taking braids out, so I don't have any advice on that.
