I experience alot of breakage and shedding. I only been on my healthy journey for about a month now. What bought me to LHCF was that my hair was breaking and has been breaking for years. This is the results from me abusing my hair and really didn't know it. I have tried different things but now I'm trying the damage hair instructions that I found on an old thread. I think my hair is at stage 3 because my hair has been breaking for some years. I don't know if this apply to you but I will bump that thread up so you can read it.

What do you mean by "break from the root"? Is the hair breaking at the line of demarcation or is it coming out from the scalp? The latter would be shedding, which is normal, as long as it's not excessive.

Really? please explain this.

basically hair has a life cycle...it is constantly growing and constantly shedding...the average rate of individual hairs lost DAILY is 75-100 long or small pieces...

you can tell if its shedding if there is a white bulb at the tip (root) of the piece of hair

if it's broken it will not have the white bulb at the end

shedding is healthy...its when it starts breaking that you have to worry
