What does it mean when

The bulb on your shedded hair is very fine. I've been inspecting my shedding hair and I've noticed its not very plump or juicy looking. I cowash and moisturize nightly. Maybe its not a big deal...just wondering. Thks

I dont know. Maybe it depends on the location of the folicle from which the hair came from. I know that when I lose a shed hair on my edges the bulb on the end is so teeny, but when its one of those looooong strands from the middle or back, the bulb is really fat.

I dunno what it means. Maybe your bulbs just happen to be that size and shape, perhaps? Were they once "plump or juicy looking" and now look malnourished? If not, maybe they were never meant to be.

Anyway, seems that dark hair has bigger bulbs than white hair, so maybe it has something to do w/ hair color?

A thinner bulb means that the hair has been ready to come out for a while. The hair has not been receiving noursihment from the blood, and is shrinking and dying... ready to come out.

When a follicle is about to go to rest and shed it's hair, it doesn't just happen in 10 seconds. It's a process.

A fat, slightly sticky bulb means the hair was pulled out prematurely.
