I love jane carter nourish & shine for my NG and scalp. I use Jane carter nourishing hair cream sealed with castor oil on the length and ends of my hair.

I am currently using silk elements moisturizer and sealing with castor oil and coconut oil mixed together. It makes my hair soft.

Some days I use a spray bottle of water and seal with Vatika oil.

Other days it's BB Castor Oil Moisturizer and seal with Lustrasilk Activator & Moisturizer 2-in-1

I use kid's organics shea butter detangling lotion and seal with coconut oil (when not in braids).

I haven't found ANYTHING that moisturizes my hair like water. My hair & scalp DEMAND water everyday. So it's usually water sealed with with a light oil like coconut or jojoba.

Me: ORS Olive Oil in the jar and seal with Vatika oil (I use castor oil to seal my nape because it needs something a little heavier).

Daughter: Cantu leave in and seal with Vatika oil

last night i discovered how much i love that praital silk worm (sp.) moisturizing cream. it's soooooo moisturizing!!

Same as Brownie, :yep: Qhemet's Heavy Cream or Burdock Root Butter Cream. I seal with Nasabbs Kelechi Oil.

I'm still learning the whole moisturize and seal routine. Can someone list oils that act as sealants, or can any oil be a sealant. I currently use Africa's Best hair oil b/c it has alot of natural ingredients.

Moisturizer- water and carefree curl (regular)
Seal- mixture of castor oil and coconut oil

Moisture: Distilled water mixed with 100% aloe, glycerin, and few drops of lavendar essential oil.

Seal: Castor oil, coconut oil, or essential oil blend for growth.

Moisture: My fave is Giovanni direct leave in (also use afrodetangler and Bumble & Bumble leave in (rinse out)

Seal: Castor oil mostly sometimes mixed with EVOO:yep:

I am glad that someone asked this question. I thought that I was the only who was unsure of the difference.

I would also like to know. I don't think I even know the difference between 'moisture' and 'seal'.

I don't know if this the the 'correct' way, but I use Sweet Cashew's hair butter, and if my ends are brittle for any weird reason, I use Rene Furterer's Karite daily moisturizer sealed with Sweet Cashew's hair butter.

Currently, I am using hawaiian silky 14 in 1 miracle worker as my moisturizer and sealing with megacare grapeseed oil. Once the 14 in 1 is gone I will be replacing it with a more natural moisturizer.....no idea yet as to which one though:rolleyes:

Shea butter, coconut oil and papaya butter, and recently cantu sheabutter leavein. But I don't use them all at the same time.

Moisture: NTM Silk Touch Leave In

Sealant: Coconut, Jojoba and Olive Oil Mix (spiked with a few drops of peppermint), Coconut Oil by itself (if I'm being lazy) or Vatika Oil
