Is there a setting lotion/cream that you'd recommend for natural hair? Should I stay away cones or is that something to look for?

I've been using the search engine here and see that you can order Dominican products online!

Thinking about Rivas Silicon Mix Capilar Treatment & Star Lacio Lacio, what do you think?

BUMP BUMP BUMP.......I kno someone can help you

I'm relaxed and I use Lacio Lacio Silk Leave-in and Coconut Oil for my rollersets: my new growth likes it: I not perfect at roller my hair yet so my ng doesn't get that straight: but practice makes perfect. HTH.

I'm natural and I used lotta body setting lotion. First I spent the day in buns to dry and stretch my hair w/out heat, and then that night I applied that and hair milk to my hair. I have the results in my fotki. I was going for a curly look, but next time I might use bigger rollers and try for straight hair.

These are the ones I have used in my journey to find that perfect leave-in for my rollerset.

Not For Me:
Infusium Leave-In - made my hair a bit crunchy but shiny
LottaBoday (watered down) - made my hair crunchy

Keepers:
Motions Nourishing Leave-In - much better results, reliable, used for months.

Fantasia or John Frieda Anti-Frizz Serum

Giovanni Leave-In (only once last week) very silky, shiny, and light (next time I use it w/a tiny bit of frizz serum)...this one may be the keeper!

Wish List:
Aveda Anti-Humectant Pomade
Dominican Leave-Ins, such as Lacio Lacio

Macheriamour has a great tutorial. The trick I am learning to a nice rollerset is less product = better results. Use plain water in a spritz bottle as you go, to keep the ends wet and flat on ech roller. A little anti-frizz serum or pomade, will keep the frizzies away.

I'm all natural and I use infusium and/or motions leave-in conditioners. I can't use lotta body, even when it's watered down. It makes my hair too crunchy. My hair seems to love proteins and silicones, but it hates oils and grease. The leave-ins are enough for me.

ITA water works wonders combined with leave-in. My favorite leave-ins are Rusk Smoother and my new discovery, Lacio Lacio.

Giovanni Direct Leave-In is extremely popular with lots of ladies here, and its also free of cones. Its my personal favorite.:)

All you ladies have such beautiful hair! Thank you for your recommendations. I've used Lottabody in the past, you're right, it's a really good setting lotion. I'm wanting to try something new though. I've heard about the DR salons for a while now, I don't live anywhere near one, so I'm leaning towards trying some of their products. I love the fact they don't have designer prices on them too!

Thanks for pointing out water, I noticed with the last roller set I did that my ends didn't come out as well on the last side that I did....spray bottle next time.
