In the am I spray my hair with Pantene leave in, then I apply some L'oreal Smooth Intense to it. The last step is using gel to smooth my hair down and keep it shiny.
I made the experience that sheen or shine has a lot to do with how much build up there is on the hair.
I used to spray my hair with a mixture of water+conditioner for a while in the mornings and my hair would look dull and I came to the conclusion that the conditioner was coating my hair too much.
I agree with nay on the oils. You can get some serious shine just by using coconut oil. Also...Kizzy by Carol's Daughter gives nice sheen to hair without being super heavy.
i alternate with spraying ORS Olive Oil Sheen or Nu Expressions Diamond Shine. more often than not simply rubbing a little b&b oil it up over my hair before i tie my scarf at night keeps it nice and shiny.
I think my hair naturally gives off a healthy sheen but if I feel I want to add extra shine to my hair, I'll just add a little Fantasia IC Hair Polisher.
Do not need much sheen... hair has a natural shine. but when my hair is feeling & looking a little dull i will add a little monoi coconut oil, shea butter or sweet almond oil.
my hair is brown, and light brown at that in the light, so it doesnt tend to reflect light well. It does have more natural sheen than ever, but still not enough for my taste, so I have to work at it
I find that when my hair is moisturized well and in good condition it has sheen on its own. For extra shine I use a tiny bit of hot 6 oil or serum. The key for me is just using a very small amount
Afew weeks ago, I found a product by Profective called Strength-N-Shine, that works wonders, not only does it give shine, it also makes my hair feel moisturized. It has mostly all naturals ingreidents, and I just love it. I can put some on on Monday and wont have to moisturize again till Wednesday. I was gonna start a thread asking if anyone had ever used it and what they thought about it but then I saw your post and decided to post it here. Simply luves it dahling.
