Personally, I love them. My pantene is full of them, and it always gets my hair sooo soft. I really wanted to know if there was anything bad about them?

It all depends on wat the silicon is in: personally I don't like them because they leave my hair stiff, unbouncy: but thats only if its for shine purposes: like Optimum Oil Booster (yellow bottle) but if its something like Lacio Lacio: i know it has a silicon in it and it makes my hair unbelievably soft.
ooooh: i had a thought: if its silicon that must be applied to dry hair: i don't like (besides heat protectants) and if its applied to wet hair (like Lacio or NTM silk therapy) than its 2 thumbs up for me. uh HTH's

My hair loves them. Silicones are great for protecting my hair from heat usage, fighting humidity, and adding bounce and shine to my tresses. I just make sure that my hair strands have plenty of moisture sealed in before I apply products with silicones.
